ACK Registration - H.E.A.R.T. Program
H.E.A.R.T. – Health, Education, Accountability, Responsibility, and Tradition
We are registered with the American Kennel Club and are part of their H.E.A.R.T. program. The H.E.A.R.T. breeder program requires the following:
- HEALTH: Breeding stock must be health tested in accordance with the recommendations of the Cavalier AKC Breed Parent Club. Visit the Health Testing Requirements page to see the requirements.
- EDUCATION: Pursue AKC-provided or AKC-approved continuing breeder education so breeders stay educated on the best breeding practices, including advances in canine health.
- ACCOUNTABILITY: Agreeing to comply with the AKC Care and Conditions Policy, including inspections by the AKC, and promising to share health testing and continuing education documentation with AKC.
- RESPONSIBILITY: Accepting responsibility for the health and well-being of the puppies produced and for complying with all laws regarding the ownership and maintenance of dogs.
- TRADITION: Upholding the AKC’s tradition of breeding purebred dogs that are happy and healthy.
Puppy Pickup and Delivery Options
Option 1 – Pick Up Your Puppy
We are located in Charm Ohio so if you live in Ohio or the surrounding states picking up your puppy might a great option! There are no additional costs and it’s convenient for you and your puppy. Choose this option when you reserve your puppy and we’ll give you a call to arrange a time to meet.
Option 2 – Ground Transportation
If you don’t want the hassle of coming to pick up your puppy we have a great partnership with Furry Trails Pet Transport. Their team loves puppies as much as you do and they do a wonderful job delivering puppies safely and quickly. They deliver to every one of the lower 48 states every single week! Prices for delivery range from $400 – $600 depending on your location.
We understand traveling can be scary for first-timers, whether they walk on two legs or four. Furry Trail’s dedicated team always puts the health and wellbeing of your puppy first, making sure she arrives safely and as quickly as possible.
Ensure the Safety of Your Dog with Global Pet Security
Every one of our Cavalier puppies comes with a Microchip and collar tag with a QR code registered with Global Pet Security. This has a number of benefits including:
- Lost and found function – Receive notifications with exact Geo location each time when your pet’s ID Tag is scanned! Track all the places on the map with our mobile app
- Digital profile of your pet – Easily create your pet’s profile with all the necessary pet-related data at your fingertips everywhere you go! Just scan the ID Tag to see it
- Included microchip registration – Microchips entered in the pet’s profile are registered in the Global Pet Security microchip database. Our database is integrated with AAHA!

Starlight Acres Cavaliers has given us the perfect addition to our family. From start to finish Jonas has provided top-notch service right down to delivery of our new baby. The service, temperament and clean bill of health were so great. We will be welcoming another addition in a few weeks, when he is ready to come home. Great Puppy, Wonderful breeders
Today our Charlie is 5 months old. He will be with us since June 6th, and is terrific dog. Loving , intelligent and very friendly family member. He is a favorite of all our neighbors, and their dogs. Healthy, Happy & Well Socalized
I grew up and as an adult have always owned larger dogs. However my next door neighbor introduce me to Cavaliers and I fell in love. My neighbor had gotten their currant dog from Jonas a couple of years ago. She is the most perfect dog so when I was ready for my next dog I knew it would be a Cavalier from Jonas. Despite going in with very high expectations Jonas & my new puppy have exceeded every one of them!
Jonas was very proactive sharing photos and health updates as I was deciding if this was the right puppy for me. Once I did decide she was my puppy Jonas continued the updates and photos. She was the runt of her litter, and I was very impressed with how detailed Jonas was being with her health and development. Based on her size he did keep her in his care for a couple of weeks past her initially projected go home date. Jonas was very proactive in his communications. I found that decision really showed his integrity and how much he truly cares about the heath and long term well being of each puppy.
Since her arrival she has been such a joyful & happy puppy! Jonas and his family gave her such a strong start! Every friend who has come over to meet her has been surprised at how well socialized she is! I can touch her ears, paws, belly, etc and she is not reactive or worried at all. It’s clear that she was well loved, played with routinely and correctly handled while at Starlight Acres.
I would happily recommend Jonas & Starlight Acres to anyone who is looking for a new puppy!
